About Our Service
RASCALS is a warm, local after-school care programme for tamariki across the wider Raglan–Whāingaroa community. Running every school day from 3:00pm to 6:00pm, we offer a safe, supportive place to unwind, play, and connect after the school day ends — with flexible pick-up times that suit busy whānau.
Based at Raglan Area School and operated by locals, we’re proudly in the process of OSCAR-approval, which means we meet the Ministry of Social Development’s standards for after-school programmes. Families can feel confident knowing we follow clear safety and supervision protocols, including secure sign-in and sign-out, appropriate ratios, and a calm routine that helps tamariki feel settled and supported.
Kai is available for tamariki attending RASCALS After School Care. Any allergies and dietary restrictions are identified during enrolment and managed through each child’s parent profile, helping us provide safe and suitable food options.
At RASCALS, afternoons are about connecting with friends, creative play, shared laughs, and looking after one another. We balance active time and downtime, with space for games, crafts, homework support (if needed), and plenty of social connection — all in a positive, respectful environment.
We also keep things simple and fairly priced, with options to match real life:
Term bookings for Term 1–4 (ideal for regular weekly care and routine)
Casual bookings for the days you need here and there

We keep RASCALS fairly priced and straightforward — with options for both term bookings and casual sessions, so you can choose what suits your whānau best.

Bookings can be madeeasily through our booking portal which indicates how many spaces are left, what the times are and allows you to make bookings with custom notes.
